BASIC COUNTRY INFO:

 

Language of filing: Ukrainian;

Currency of Fee: UAH Ukrainian Hryvna;

Local Representation:  PCT applicant must authorize patent attorney of Ukraine

 

 

TIMELINES:

 

Novelty grace period: 12 months since disclosure

Deadline for Entry:  31 months from priority filing date;

Examination: A written request for examination must be made and the examination fee must be paid within three years from the international filing date;

Deadline to file translation and POA: 2 months from the PTO request  if not filed at the time of national phase entry: should be dated on or before the filing date in Ukraine;

Granting fees: should be paid within 3 months from the grant date; 6 month grace period available for late payments;

Annuities: payments should start within 4 months following the grant with respective year counting from the filing date; 12 month grace period counting from the date of publication available for late payments.

Median prosecution time: 36 months

Currency of Fee: RUB Russian Ruble;

Local Representation:  PCT applicant must authorize Eurasian Patent Attorney

Novelty grace period: 12 months since disclosure

Deadline for Entry:  31 months from priority filing date;

Examination: A written request for examination must be made at the time of filing, otherwise 20% surcharge will be implemented;

Deadline to file translation and POA: 2 months from the PTO request  if not filed at the time of national phase entry: should be dated on or before the filing date in Eurasia;

Granting fees: should be paid within 3 months from the grant date; 6 month grace period available for late payments;

Annuities: payments should start within 4 months following the grant with respective year counting from the filing date; 12 month grace period counting from the date of publication available for late payments.
